and as Doc W said he had issues with Whittaker Piroe and Obafemi this season he has had a similar issue with a goalkeeper....so maybe the issue isn't about the players maybe it's Russ- Vetchonian

spot on Doc..he played round pegs in square holes they fitted but didn't fill the slot..as you say we had that run at the end of last season which his fanboys went on about yet it was achieved with the same players he had had all season despite his mutterings about being let down in the transfer...- Vetchonian

yet he hasn't been hamstrung at Southampton yet has failed to deliver promotion.Comparr that to Cooper who in his first 3 seasons as a manager had his teams in play off semis then the play off finals then took his side from the bottom of the Championship to win the play off final....yet RUSS...- Vetchonian

I think your arguement is flawed...despite having that better group of players he has not delivered. bearing in mind Southampton were a PL team last season they have not taken the division by storm....lost to Cardiff last week and to Stoke at home today. I suspect Southampton will dispense...- Vetchonian

Spot on post......now I believe in Luke he was my suggestion when Martin left us let's hope he gets performances like yesterday for the rest of the season.
