Paul Buttery has the Union Club in Rotherham, which have been granted permission from The South Yorkshire Police touse as an away fans friendly venue. He is inviting visiting
fans to the club for drinks and refreshments before thegame. The New York Stadium is just a ten minute walkfrom the club, we have a car/coach park that is 24hr CCTV monitored so you can leave your vehicles with peace of mind and have a short walk to the ground.
Everyone is welcome young, old, male, female and we also cater for the disabled, there is wheelchair access from the car/coach park at the rear of the club. The
club holds 300 people and we have a 12x8ft screen to watch pre match TV. We have Carling, San Migel and Fosters lagers, John Smiths Smooth and Thatchers Cider at competitive prices, we also do hot and cold food at reasonable prices.
If you are wanting to visit the club could you please contact me so I can cater for Staff etc,

And so it begins again.
Perhaps baseless optimism as the season starts, but I am going to go with 3-1 for the Swans.
Piroe with 2, Obafemi with 1 and a completely avoidable defensive howler in the 2nd minute

Re: 22/23 The Rotherham v Swansea Official Match Thread
Matthew Donohue will be the man in charge when Swansea City travel to Rotherham United on the opening day of the Championship season this Saturday (3pm). The Greater Manchester official began refereeing at the age of 14 and became an EFL assistant referee in 2014. Four years later, he was promoted to the National List of Referees and - after a successful first season in the Football League – he was added to the Select Group 2 list of officials at the end of the 2018-19 season.
His first Championship match was in August 2019, but he didn’t take charge of a Swans game until February 2020 – a 3-2 home defeat to Derby County. Donohue has overseen a further four Swans matches. One of those was a clash with Saturday’s opponents, Rotherham, in November 2020. Ryan Bennett was the only Swans man to receive a booking, while it was a Matt Grimes goal which sealed the three points on home turf. Last season, Donohue took charge of 34 matches – including a League One play-off semi-final – and handed out 138 yellow cards and eight reds.
On Saturday, Donohue will be assisted by Robert Hyde and Andrew Aylott. Will Finnie will be the fourth official.

Not that it should cause a problem, but with rail strike and commonwealth games in Birmingham, Bristol City at Hull and West Brom at Middlesbrough there will be some extra traffic at points on the journey
