I think Ayew provided leadership on the pitch and in the dressing room. The first thing that needs to happen is get Bennett fit and make him captain, or buy someone with some leadership quality that can last more than two consecutive games. Hate to say it but them up the road do have it in that scumbag Morrison.
My thoughts too, I simply don’t see Grimes as having the bollocks to get things by the scruff of the neck.

We’re absolute dogshite at the moment.
On this current showing we’re due a 5-0 thumping from Cardiff in a couple of months. Just imagine that.
We really won’t
What makes you so sure

Tbh saint we get this type of post the start of every season without fail (not saying from you). The guy has been here 2 weeks, 4/5 first team players injured, no pre season etc. I’m sorry but I can’t see us getting relegated in this division even with the squad we have now. Stoke we’re bloody good last night as much as we were rubbish. On the other hand we played very well against a stronger Sheffield united. It’ll come, but it’ll take time
I get all that. But we weren't good last Saturday ( not 1 shot on target).
And I've seen some dodgy season starts in 40 yrs I can tell you. But I've a bad feeling bout this.....we are so easy to play against is worrying. Traditionally thers a 'bounce ' after a thumping. I'm dreading Friday cos cant see anything but the same. And just like when yer top 6 in this league you tend to stay there, a few weeks time we maybe cut adrift. Let's see how patient we all are then.
If we are still putting out teams like that at the end of the window, then we have a problem. I remember when boro smashed us at home under Sousa and it was the same feeling then. A win on Friday would change things in any number of ways, but you are right, we do look predictable and easy to pick off. Pearson won’t be slow to see that neither. Currently we are so slow that teams just need to bide their time. Eventually we’ll give them their chances, while not creating any ourselves. That is Martins task to sort out. We’ve backed our horse, we now have to watch him run.

I remember that game. 3-0 down(Emnes worldy was one) and he brings on Casey James/Jones? and Jazz Richards. Things looked very bleak that day but they turned in time.Heres hoping.

Side? I am on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side, little orc.

Have we as fans got the bottle to be patient?... I'll admit whilst watching last night I had the urge to panic and declare we are doomed but after I remembered its still week 2 of a long bumpy road. Russell's problem is that with each passing game the pressure will ramp up. It boils down to faith at the end of the day and hopefully given time the squad will click.

We need a win, and pretty soon. That creates both breathing space, and confidence. We missed a big chance at Blackburn. More urgency and conviction there and I think we could have taken a lot of pressure off on day 1.

A defeat at the Wurzels would ramp up the steam meters an extra notch for sure.

For a defensive line up we cant defend .......so maybe Cooper wasnt a fraud after all
Oh just f**k off you pointless jerk. Cooper chose to go. If we get better you’ll be nowhere to be seen. Dry your eyes and go and toss yourself off over the 6 minutes of football we played all last season in your highlights.
So Cooper chose to go yet the clubn paid up the remainder of his contract.....if he was just walking away there was no need for the club to pay him anything. As we all have opinions mine is the relationship had broken down...maybe the clubs insistance on such a high compensation fee when negotiating withe either Palace or Fulham.....dont forget Cooper was in his only second season of senior management unlike Potter who had had 7 season of senior management before coming to us and maybe other clubs felt the asking price was too high and they pulled out of taking him ...maybe then this gave Cooper a case for constructive dismissal funny how it was his legal team that "leaked" an announcement was imminent
Ill post some more highlights these are of our home game v Stoke last season where we won 2-0 again there are "six minute"s in that gane of football where there are examples of one touch passing and attacking football....unkike the passing back we saw last night....
We had 64% possesion last night managed 9 shots with 3 on target and 1 goal whilst Stoke with only 36% possession managed 12 shots 5 on target and scored 3 goals I always thought the idea of us keeping possession prevented the opposition form scoring
Last season at home V Stoke we had
50% possession and managed 18 shots 6 on target and we scored 2 goals whilst Stoke with 50% possession had only 3 shots with none on target
So tell me how things are better? With less possession last season we managed twice as many shots...yet Cooperball was dull?

Im not a fan bay Im a realist good managers in all walks of life are those who utilise their resources to their maximum effect even at times varying from their own thoughts and preferred modus operandi....and introduce change in a controlled way
I hope Martin gets it right BUT as many said last season the squad was not capable of playing the tika tika way but were shouted down with the manager being blamed...now all of a sudden many are saying teh squad is not capable!!!
Any way some more highlights for you to enjoy
https://www.swanseacity.com/news/throwb ... ghlights-0

Evidence there of passing across the back line, playing out from the back looking to playy the ball forward not much evidence of hoofball
But then we all have our opinions I just try to back mine with data facts and evidence.

Neil Harris tried to do what Martin is trying to do when he was at Cardif last season and change to "pretty" football but eh fans got on his back when the results were not coming.....this could happen here....but anyway watch what I have posted and compare with last night?

I upvoted you by mistake, I meant to click on the quote button.

Are you AfD's brother? "But have you watched the video I posted?" is all you seem to be about.

Highlights of poor games where a version of Clements football is thrust upon us and we as fans are supposed to be happy as the table is everything to the bland gods of boredom and a few absolutely horrendous results. Apparently the rubbish results under Saint Cooper were fine but poor ones against sides who will be at the top end of the table at the end of this season for RM are all DOOOM!

You and Chief are the two ends of the donkey following the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

The constructive dismissal assertion is correct in my view. Clubs have acted like holes for a long time since professionalism. It is wrong to block exits to other clubs.

I backed Cooper all the way and the club should have let him go after two playoff seasons. He was highly successful.

The current situation is poorly thought out and you would think by now that Tate, Britton or Curtis would have had a word.

Martin is coming up against well drilled quick teams who play a high press to put us under pressure and sap our energy. Man United do it well but we dont have a team of Ethan Lairds.

Huge risk to come out with a weakened squad and play some experienced managers who predicated how Martin would set up and struggle to change the format from the MK Dons mid-table achievment.

Away from home we need a new plan A.

Where have I said horrendous results under the previous manager we’re fine?
All I attempt to do is speak with data as apparently we were a hoof ball team under the last manager and created no attacks
The highlights I have posted show is playing passing football across and out from the back not a lot of sign of hoof and hope.

Where have I spread DOOM all I have done is point out that despite us having more possession it hasn’t presented more attacking opportunities in fact when the two matches are compared we had less
I hope Martin sorts it out and we all are entitled too opinions but I get fed up with the myths created about the style of football we played…..a la Martinez it was not neither was it Monkball and it certainly wasn’t Pullis ball whilst I want to see entertaining football I also want to see us win so results and league tables do matter especially to the owners and that is important at the moment if we want the club to survive they need us back in the PL
