We actually just had this conversation in the car it’s as if they’ve forgotten what football is and I will guarantee you Grimes stats on today’s game will be excellent which will also show you what the problem is.

Literally just said the same about Grimes’ stats on another thread.

Exactly what the problem is.

I’m not going to defend Grimes but why are people so fixated on him when at the root of all our problems we clearly have a stationary Kyle Naughton pulling the strings! Why are we not talking about that?!!!!!

It’s like he actually prioritises preserving his ‘possession/passing’ stat rather than probing for an attacking option every time it’s so risk averse, possession for the sake of possession drivel and so boring to watch too can’t see it changing unless the Manager goes 🤔🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

It was clearly bizarre that Naughton was leading all our forward play in a number of friendlies in pre season.

The guy is a great pro but not to build attacks

They're far from over coached over worked maybe by running them into the ground but over coached they are not, there's a massive difference.

Would you be happy with Martin coaching your 10 yr old, I wouldn't be, let alone if he was at an age to be a professional footballer.

I've absolutely no faith in this fraud at all.

I should have added that my lads are much much older than 10 of course :D

Itchy, the main point is that Grimes is captain, he's absolutely anonymous as a Football Captain.

He should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Sir Bill Shankly and many of SCFC's managers for that matter.

Also spot on.

Actually agree with Darran’s point but he’s nowhere near the root problem.
