If he says 'we were playing the top of the league and can't compete financially' I might explode.

Spot on, zero hiding place for him nowlidojack wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022 17:00He's had 50 odd games, a full pre-season and he still can't organise a defence or get us to successfully play out from the back. The mistakes we were making in his first month in the job are still being made today.
We've got a very good first 11 of players this season and they are going to be wasted under Martin.

No more BS, Martin.

Well his post match interview sounded defensive and how unlucky it was that Blackburn had four shots and scored three times.
It doesn't wash Russ

Said before the season there could be no excuses, said during the friendlies there are serious red flags appearing but people berated anyone who talked about the friendlies as they mean nothing. It was clear the same mistakes were going to be made.
I had full faith in Martin though, I give him last season for transition and I honestly thought we’d be having a good crack at it this season, looks like I was miles off though. He’s in big trouble.

But the players are young and anxious and we can't compete financially but we trust the process

It's the attitude of the players that is telling. Nobody shouting or seeming to even care. The last goal typified it all after the two defensive howlers for the other two goals.Risc wrote: ↑06 Aug 2022 17:54Said before the season there could be no excuses, said during the friendlies there are serious red flags appearing but people berated anyone who talked about the friendlies as they mean nothing. This could be even worse than last season. We're creating even less too

Early in the season but feels like we'll be fighting to stay up.
Re: 22/23 The Official Swansea v Blackburn Match Thread
Just seen the short highlights on sky. Now don't want to single one player out for a team abject performance, but what was Grimes thinking for the 3rd goal. He had the chance to get closer to the man but allowed him to get the shot away. Bodies on the line, play the ball not the space.

We lost 0 - 3 at home to a team who aren't exceptional, but who are competent. That's unacceptable.
I'm going to be interested in Martin's explanation for that.

The thing is, the players know it's all bullshit now, and that will really start to show more and more. barring something that is pretty invisible at the moment, this is going to end really badly.
