One side will claim it was a terrible foul and a red card
The other that it was Manning's fault for walking in front of him and even a yellow was harsh

Luton did that(stood in front of an attempt to take a quick free kick)all day long...our players are either not savvy enough or are just not interested in getting involved with moaning at the referee, or kicking the ball at the opponent to highlight them 'blocking' a quick free kick.

Either way, in today's game a red card should have been shown.

Does their player take his eyes off the ball?

Does Manning kick the ball just before their player attempts to kick it?

One of those incidents where you ask 100 neutral football fans is it a red, and you will get different answers.
If that had been Manning on Landsbury and you asked 100 Swans supporters we would have said it was a red card.

Does the player take his eye off the ball? Did he not see a 6 foot lump a yard in front of him?
Does Manning kick the ball? Yes, he got booked for it unlike the numerous Luton players who did the same throughout the game. Does he then get kick hard enough to sweep his legs away? Yes, have the Luton player hit the ball it would it would have landed in the car park.
Any excuse or apology for the vicious foul is a disgrace.
Independent people are asking one question, 'How in the wide, wide world was this not a straight red card?'
Not a chance would 100 swans fans say that

Independent people are also agreeing with the on the field decision. Opinions eh?

I thought that Luton were a dirty niggling team yesterday... Very fired up no doubt by their manager.

Him not getting sent off probably did us a favour, oddly enough. Ten Luton behind the ball for the entire second half would have been a lot harder to break down.

If that was in the prem the player would of walked no question. Red card for violent conduct all day long. Ref bottled it.

Manning got a deserved yellow, you see that type of thing almost every game, fact is though Lansbury's brutal and cowardly assault (yes that's what it was) on Manning should be looked at by the FA regardless of the referee issuing a yellow card to Lansbury...
And yes, our players let Manning down badly by not steaming in and just standing by.

Agree FA should look at it , at the very least demote the ref.

Mrs. Mute saw this earlier and couldn’t believe that it wasn’t a red card. She doesn’t watch football normally but was in the room when Quest was on and was surprised at how little was said about it.
