What number is the same as sh*t? Poor season with very few positives, and even those wouldn’t be especially notable in the better teams (Rushworth decent shot stopper but iffy distribution at times; Grimes reliable but not outstanding; Tymon came on well but way off the better full backs; Ronald...
100% this. And it started from the top with Ipswich (and us). Get an ownership group in who make the right decisions and it all filters down. It went wrong for us when they stopped making good decisions.
Shame he got injured, as he was a class above anyone else on the pitch for a few games. It makes you wonder why Martin overlooked him for so long, and then Duff too, as there isn't a better defender in the club when he's fit.
Yes, he's had a reasonable season. My lad tells me he wants to stay for next season. Whether that's true or, more likely, there's a chance of it is another matter.
This will go down like a bucket of cold sick on here, but I think Matt Grimes has had a solid season as well. Steady, dependable...
Otherwise known as the 'who we are going to sell in the summer' list.
It's been a season to forget, but who do we reckon deserves a nod in the annual awards? Manning won player of the season last year and Piroe the year before.
I'm struggling to think of anyone for this year. Best I can come...
Having seen those incidents back, I think they've got a point. It might be quite handy having a referee analyst on the team - we've had some weird refs this season, really inconsistent. Knowing what rings their bells could be a useful advantage. I'm clutching at straws here mind to try and think...
It’s probably got nothing to do with natural sources of vitamin c. We eat shed loads of fruit (to excess - my lad will eat 10 apples a day, plus grapes, oranges and anything else we throw at him, no problem), but get plenty of colds.
My mother-in-law in her 70s has never had a headache. Not a...
Lowe’s been a massive disappointment for me compared to his first spell here. He can barely get on the pitch in a much weaker side. He did very well for the third goal in the week though.
Tymon’s really come on. Key was good at the start of the season; shame they injury got in the way.
Speaking of which I see Obafemi scored for Millwall today. I didn’t realise he’d gone there. I thought he believed himself too good for this level. Not our worse signing, but certainly one that didn’t work out.
The January window had given me a bit of hope. Ronald is quickly becoming the best...
Yeah, I’m not a fan of those references. He certainly enjoyed winding us up when he returned for Stoke, but the relationship had broken down by then. As Phil says, the biggest problem was that we were stupid enough to pay far too much for him (or even sign him at all).
Nobody up there seems to want to go up. If they can’t be bothered, can they give it to us? (We’d be battered in the PL mind - could challenge Derby’s lowest points total).
It was, but we can rebuild under new owners (assuming we don't pick another dud). It'll be a death from a thousand cuts from this lot. They're useless and don't know what they're doing.
That's that then. Another miserable afternoon. Can we wake up and start giving the yanks some grief at the next home match? They're getting away with running us into the ground at the moment.
