Re: Mini parent-coaches

Well a handful of people here know what I do with junior football in Swansea. I have dealt with these sort of things for over 10 years. This "coach" wont be changed so you get him out or leave. Anyone that says a 7 year old player will need fitness work needs to get as far away from children as pos...

Re: Mini parent-coaches

I'd leave. I wouldn’t fancy leaving a group of kids at the mercy of that head coach. He clearly doesn’t understand the ethos of mini football or what coaching kids of that age should be about. Well a handful of people here know what I do with junior football in Swansea. I have dealt with these sort...

Re: Mini parent-coaches

Would welcome the views of anyone involved in mini football My lad plays minis U8s, and I help coach. We have enough players to run several teams at this age group. The usual mix of outstanding, average and struggling with the basics kids. The "head coach" has decided he wants the best players (of ...

Re: Mini parent-coaches

So for some balance here as this all seems negative. For every story I hear like this, I see 20 teams doing brilliant things. Swansea has over 120 teams in the 8s to 11s age group and nearly all of those are run by parents or guardians who put in hours of voluntary work every week often without than...

Re: Rob Elsey retro swans

I agree with this. I don’t know the ins and outs of the legalities but I wonder what’s to be gained by hauling a long standing fan through the courts. The problem for the club is legally if they let this one go what about the next “long standing fan” who wants to make a few bob, equally are the shi...

They were brand new shirts he created based upon designs from history.
I’ve got one myself.
Definitely not originals then.

Re: Rob Elsey retro swans

My recollection was that somebody was offering for sale “new” shirts in whatever size you wanted. I don’t know who that was but if it was him he is in big trouble. That's how I remember it. People on here mentioned that instead of the new club shirt, they were buying remanufactured nostalgia kits. ...
