Yep. Cooper is probably as capable as anyone of setting up the player resources at his disposal to play entertaining, attacking and enjoyable football. We just wouldn’t be as ‘successful’jackjackjackjack wrote: ↑16 Jun 2021 16:08No. If Cooper goes we need a young manager who's had a bit of success working with young players in the lower leagues.Jinxy wrote: ↑16 Jun 2021 15:46I'd still like to see Rangel, with a possible Tate/Leon combo. What he lacks in experience and contacts can be made up by leading by example, commanding respect and familiarity with how "we" like to play. I imagine he'd suit their budget too. I'd happily stay at this level as long as we try passing it about - another season with Cooper, much as I respect what he has achieved, fills me with, erm, a vacuum.
The thing about being happy with decent football is fine, in theory. The reality would be if we were mid table playing broadly well, but losing games due to goalkeeper, defender errors, and attackers missing chances, our fans would be all over the individuals concerned.
The last two, incredibly successful seasons, have reflected our ambition.
