Ladies 100% record goes in 0-0 draw at Port Talbot

The Swansea City Ladies team lost their 100% record this season with a 0-0 draw this afternoon at Port Talbot – a match where they played the second half with ten players after the sending off of Emma Beynon for two yellow cards in quick succession.

It was an entertaining encounter at Victoria Road with both sides having the chances to win the game but ultimately neither able to find the target and had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The Swans will look back on the game though and know that they did have sufficient chances to win it with home goalkeeper Vicky Beddows being called into action on many occasions to deny the Swans a 10th successive win of the campaign.

Katy Hosford was denied on more than one occasion as was Kelly Adams but ultimately it was to no avail as the game ended goalless.

Cardiff Met reduced the lead to three points at the top of the table with a 7-0 win at Cascade Ladies who finished a miserable week where they are threatened with demotion from the WPWL through not having the necessary licence.
